OUT OF CONTROL (1980)

The local vending machine got suddenly very ill...

Peter Criss returns! Except now he's on his own... and packing some rock'n roll!

We open with By Myself, which is a slow song not totally unlike something from his first solo album. Then we get In Trouble Again, which has a really rockin' verse but lame chorus and electric guitar that sounds like it was recorded in a empty can of baked beans that was cooked over a fire. Where Will They Run? features what must be the first use of midi saxophone ever, because I'm fairly certain the midi sounds found in my Atari are more realistic. I Found Love is as forgettable as something I totally forgot. There's Nothing Better is actually a good song! In fact, you could say there's nothing better than it on this album! Oh ha ha ha I am so hilarious!

The rest of the album is OK. I decided to go back and look at the results from Kissathon 2013 and this album scored much higher the first time. Interesting. Perhaps I'm not listening to this loud enough right now? Gene Simmons' solo album also scored a lot higher, so it would seem I was smoking serious crack during Kissathon 2013...

Highlights:
